The winds are blowing and Mary Poppins is floating down with her umbrella, magic carpet bag in hand ...
Ok, not really, but I went to hear this up and coming group, Carolina Voices of Faith (CVoF), rock it out for Jesus last night and it took my breath away! Nine different Charlotte area churches were represented last night alone, and there are a number of others who were part of the Homes for Hope event back in early August of last year, where CVoF voices backed up Christa Wells, Nicole Witt and Verne Phifer.
Watching the CVoF praising God together is a tangible picture of the unity that exists among Christ followers ... it's like a little glimpse into heaven.
Their next performance will be at the Sherry York Kitts Ribbon Fest, an event being put on by the York County Cancer Association next Saturday, June 19, 2010. The group will take the stage at around 4pm. If you're in the area, don't miss it!
Here are a few teaser photos from my shoot with them last night.

Bubbles ...
Sometimes it's the simplest things in life that yield the sweetest memories ... and the best smiles. Hanging out with young kids is a great reminder of that. I have been home from Korea for a week and I had forgotten about these photos and this moment with Emma and Jackson. We stepped out of their apartment one day in the early evening to blow bubbles with the kids. These pictures make me smile ...

Jackson's 2nd Birthday
While my mom and I were in Korea last week, my nephew Jackson celebrated his 2nd birthday. All of his little friends came out to the the Yongsan Fire Station on the Army base in Seoul for the occasion.
Emma enjoyed making cupcakes for Jackson's special day ...

It was great to be there for Jackson's special day!

Seoul, Korea Part 1
My mom and I arrived in Seoul, South Korea on Friday night, April 9, for a visit with my brother Jason, who is stationed at the Yongsan Army base here in Seoul. Jason and his family live within a couple of blocks from the base so we have been over there a couple of times already. Saturday there was a carnival on base for the families and this morning we attended the church on post. We have also walked down to the huge I-Park Mall, the E-Mart, and we had doughnuts at the Doughnut Plant that is really close by the apartment. Good stuff!
We have some sight-seeing planned during our week here, but until then, here are a few of the first pics that I like.
The cherry trees are just beginning to blossom ...
My nephew Jackson turned two today! (B-day pics to come.)

Stay tuned for more ...
